Your air ducts and HVAC system are an extremely important place to check for mold. Your air ducts are the lungs of your home recirculating air around your home on average 5 to 7 times per day. If mold can be found in your ducts, it can easily be growing throughout your home.
Our process starts with by cleaning the years of dust and spore buildup in your air ducts. We then fog the entire air duct system to disinfect it and finish with an anti microbial to prevent future issues.
Unfortunately, your air conditioning system and your air ducts are a common place for black mold to reside. Moisture plays a significant role in the growth of mold. Your air conditioning system can act as an incubator for black mold because of its constant change in humidity levels throughout the summer season. If your air conditioner works as a dual heater as well, then it increases the likelihood of having a mold infestation at some point in time due to constant usage.
If you do have mold in your home and you use your air conditioning system, the effect can be the air conditioner moving the mold spores into your ductwork through the air, with those mold spores getting lodged into your air ducts. Once they make their way to your air ducts they will have a non-visible environment to grow.
You can avoid the mold problem in your home by doing regular annual maintenance on your air ducts. Just changing the filters, or getting your air ducts regularly cleaned every year can save you from many health problems, headaches, and cost in the future.

I would highly recommend Pure Maintenance of Michigan! Scott is very knowledgeable and friendly. The turn around time of coming out to test and getting results was unbelievably quick. Luckily my mold results showed little amounts and no need to go any further. Our basement showed a slightly higher count and Scott gave me some advice for helping make the mold count lower. We were having serious illness and reaction to mold in our home. Nausea, months of coughing, fatigue, muscle aches, etc. We got a few quotes and talked to different companies on the phone and Scott was very fairly priced and had a different method of mold removal that did not require re-building any part of the home. As soon as he was done it was IMMEDIATE that we started to feel better. Had not slept that well in months in our home.
